Hand-carved by a local craftsman in Ubud, Bali, this intricate decorative wood ornament depicts frangipani, a very common plant on the island of Gods. Frangipani flowers are widely used as religious offerings. Women often display them around small shrines once the prayer is over. Many Balinese also grow frangipani trees in their garden to enjoy their lovely scent.
